ARTIST STATEMENT

As an artist, I cannot keep myself from seeing.  Whether I want to or not, my eyes are always examining and investigating the world around me—birds landing in a distant tree, ants rebuilding their home, friends struggling to connect. To the observant eye, nothing is hidden. Who we are, what we want, what we feel—everything is spoken by the physical form long before the words emerge. Grief, excitement, contemplation show themselves not just in our facial expression, but in the way we move or in the angle of our posture.
