Tunnel Vision 2021
Phase 2 is complete.
Join us for a viewing and dedication party happening on October 24.
About Phase 2
Many thanks to the selected artists Madison Apple, Krusty Overman, Louis Still Smoking, John Pepion, Grace Washko, and Sarah Wasko for their vision, creation, time, energy, and labor in painting the murals along Kalispell’s multi-use pathway this summer. Click here to read what the Beacon had to say. The murals not only add color, vibrancy, and beauty to our bike path - they also make our town feel more welcome and inclusive. The painting and community action haven't stopped there.
Hardworking and dedicated Rails-to-Trails volunteers prime and paint the inside of the tunnels in preparation for Phase 2.
We're launching Phase 2 of the Tunnel Vision project - which may be the perfect excuse for you (and your friends!) to get up, get out, and get hands-on in your community. We are looking for volunteers to help paint the inside of the tunnel that passes between Glacier High School and My Place Hotel in Kalispell from September 15 - 23, 2021.
In collaboration with Rails-to-Trails of NW Montana, we have hired artist Griffin Foster to design and lead our community in creating a Glacier Park foliage-inspired mural on the interior of the tunnel.
Join us! No experience is necessary. You can opt to join as an individual, school group, or civic group. Many hands make light work. Let’s work together to make more public art in Kalispell.
